    Day 1Chiang MaiArrive Chiang Mai : You are welcomed at the airport and escorted to THE TAMARIND VILLAGE / THE SHERATON. Chiang Mai is a delightful ancient city with a distinctive charm and is the country's center of handicraft production. (D)
    Day 2Chiang MaiMorning Market, Wat Doi Suthep & Temples / Handicraft Village : Early this morning, witness the traditional Thai culture of offering food to Buddhist monks. Take a rickshaw ride to Chiang Mai Gate to visit the morning market. Following breakfast, drive to Wat Doi Suthep. Built in AD 1384, Wat Doi Suthep is the most sacred temple in northern Thailand. In the afternoon, visit a handicraft village. This evening, enjoy dinner with authentic traditional performances featuring regional tribes. (BD)
    Day 3Chiang RaiChiang Mai / Chiang Rai : Visit a jungle area and see how elephants work in the lumber industry. After stopping at an orchid nursery, you are driven to Chiang Rai where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. WIANG INN / THE RIVER HOUSE (BL)
    Day 4BangkokGolden Triangle Excursion / Bangkok : Visit the Golden Triangle, the sights and scenes of which present images of a traditional way of life unknown in the western world. Board a long-tailed motorboat for a fascinating trip down river and visit remote Hilltribe villages. For a long time Chiang Rai was isolated from most of Thailand, so its unique culture survives. Later, fly to the vibrant and throbbing capital, Bangkok, and check in at the elegant MONTIEN BANGKOK / ROYAL ORCHID SHERATON. (BL)
    Day 5BangkokVisit Jim Thompson House / Grand Palace & Wat Po : In the morning, visit the Thompson House. Thompson was well known around Bangkok before and during World War II and was credited at one time with reviving and revitalizing the Thai Silk industry. After lunch, visit Grand Palace, the former residence for the Thai kings. Visit the Reception Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall and the beautiful Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Keo. Continue to visit Wat Po, one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok. (BL)
    Day 6BangkokKlongs and China Town Tour : Travel by motor launch on the picturesque Chao Phraya River and canals, or klongs, to observe the serene family homes and temples along the waterways. You will pass the famous Royal Barges, excellent samples of Thai craftsmanship and stop at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Ride on a tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled taxi, to Chinatown. This evening enjoy a delicious Thai dinner accompanied by a classical Thai dance and music performance. (BLD)
