    Day 1Port MoresbyFri: Arrive Port Moresby / Mt. Hagen : Arrive in Port Moresby, the gateway to your journey through the heart of New Guinea. Connect with your flight to Mt. Hagen in the upper Wahgi Valley, which contains some of the oldest evidence of agriculture in the world. Perched high on Mount Kuta is RONDON RIDGE, which offers unbelievable views of the valley below. (LD)
    Day 2 & 3Mt. HagenSat & Sun: Mt Hagen : You will spend two full days exploring the Hagen Area and Wahgi Valley. The Mount Hagen area is the home of the Melpa people, a people with a strong culture who, in the face of modernity, still live a largely traditional subsistence lifestyle. A stunning array of bird, orchid and plant life abound in the mountains surrounding the Wahgi Valley. (BLD)
    Day 4Sepik River CruiseMon: Mt Hagen / Sepik River Cruise : Fly by charter from Mount Hagen to the Sepik River. The mountains start to give way until eventually vast tracts of dense tropical lowland rainforest cover the landscape for as far as the eye can see. You will be transferred from the airstrip by riverboat to the air-conditioned comfort of the MV SEPIK SPIRIT. Inspired by the architecture of the haus tambaran, or spirit house, the MV SEPIK SPIRIT has a truly unique design.     Day 5 & 6Sepik River CruiseTue & Wed: Sepik River Cruise : You will spend two full days exploring the many waterways of the Sepik and its tributaries, including visits to traditional Sepik villages. Steeped in mystery, the people of the Sepik area have fascinated anthropologists like Margaret Mead since the area was first visited. Part of the mystery and attraction of the Sepik peoples is their amazing carvings, which are now famous the world over. (BLD)
    Day 7KarawariThu: Sepik River / Karawari : You will be transferred by riverboat to KARAWARI LODGE. Sitting on a ridge above the Karawari River, the lodge boasts a spectacular view over hundreds of miles of dense tropical jungle. Its design was inspired by local architecture and built with traditional materials, yet still provides modern comforts. (BLD)
    Day 8AmbuaFri: Karawari / Ambua : Fly by charter aircraft over the Central Ranges to the Ambua airstrip. The Central Ranges offer some of the most rugged and impressive landscapes in the world. The country between Ambua and the Sepik region is comprised of an amazing array of jagged limestone that seems to rise and drop at impossible angles. AMBUA LODGE is located high on the slopes of the Tari Valley, which is home of the Huli, a colorful and proud people who still live the same way that their ancestors did. The afternoon is spent exploring the area surrounding Ambua, where high mountain forests with roaring waterfalls beckon the intrepid traveler. (BLD)
    Day 9AmbuaSat: Ambua : Spend a full day of ecological and culturally based touring that are sure to satiate those yearning for discovery. For the adventurous, there is an opportunity to have a bona fide village experience. The Tari area is home to an 13 different species of birds of paradise, as well as numerous orchid species. (BLD)
    Day 10Port MoresbySun: Ambua / Port Moresby / Depart : This morning, you will depart for Port Moresby. Upon arrival in Port Moresby, you will be met and assisted to your international flight. (B)
