    Day 1AnchorageAnchorage : After we transport you from the airport to downtown Anchorage, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Overnight Anchorage.
    Day 2SewardAnchorage - Seward: 126 miles : Pick up your Avis rental car at your leisure and drive south to Seward. En route, stop at Portage Lake for a cruise on the mv Ptarmigan. When you arrive in this port town enjoy an optional visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center-the Northern Hemisphere's only coldwater research facility and the home of Steller sea lions, harbor seals and a variety of seabirds. Overnight Seward.
    Day 3TalkeetnaSeward - Talkeetna: 240 miles : Board your sightseeing vessel for an amazing cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park. After your cruise, retrace your steps back to Anchorage and on through the Matanuska Valley to Talkeetna. Overnight Talkeetna.
    Day 4FairbanksTalkeetna - Fairbanks: 278 miles : Look around Talkeetna this morning before continuing north to Fairbanks. While on your journey through the heart of Alaska, stop in the small town of Nenana, home of the winter Ice Classic. Overnight Fairbanks.
    Day 5FairbanksFairbanks : Today, visit Gold Dredge No. 8 to pan for gold and enjoy a hearty miner's lunch. You'll learn how the city of Fairbanks was shaped by the gold rush of 1902. Before turning in your rental car at the airport, stop by the Museum of the North at the University of Fairbanks or explore more of Fairbanks on your own. Overnight Fairbanks. (L)
    Day 6DenaliFairbanks - Denali : This morning, transfer to the rail station, where you'll board the luxurious railcars of the McKinley Explorer. Overnight Denali.

Later, journey between the mountains of the spectacular Alaska and Talkeetna ranges on an incomparable sightseeing experience aboard the McKinley Explorer railcars. Overnight Anchorage.
