DAY 1: ARRIVE ADELAIDE

You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred by private car to your centrally-located hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight: Adelaide, Mercure Grosvenor Hotel for 2 nights

DAY 2: ADELAIDE AT LEISURE

Spend the day at leisure. Perhaps take a tour of the city, or visit the famous Barossa Valley wine region (additional expense).

DAY 3: ADELAIDE-COOBER PEDY

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the world famous opal region of Coober Pedy. This afternoon, visit a working mine field to discover the various styles of opal mining. Get down and get dirty as you experience the thrill of fossicking for your own opal at the Quest Mine. Overnight: Coober Pedy, Desert Cave Hotel for 2 nights

DAY 4: OUTBACK MAIL RUN

A truly unique outback experience - The Mail Run travels over a triangle between Coober Pedy, Oodnadatta and William Creek, visiting points of interest and delivering mailbags to all cattle stations on the way. The route covers 370 miles of diverse country including red sand hills, and 120 million year old inland sea beds, passing monuments and historic ruins and part of the Overland Telegraph Line.

DAY 5: COOBER PEDY -ADELAIDE

Transfer to Coober Pedy airport for your onward flight.
