DAY 1: SYDNEY-CANBERRA (186 miles/3 hrs)

On arrival at Sydney Airport, you'll be met and assisted with picking up your rental car. Begin your drive to Canberra. En route visit the historic township of Berrima in the beautiful southern highlands; explore the village square, and admire the picturesque buildings. Overnight: Canberra, Crowne Plaza Canberra (standard) or Avalanche Homestead (B&B)

DAY 2: CANBERRA-ALBURY (220 miles/4 hrs)

Depart Canberra on the Barton Highway to the town of Yass. Join the Hume Highway and travel via the towns of Gundagai and Holbrook to arrive at Albury. Overnight: Albury, Quality Hotel on Olive (standard) or Chifley Albury (B&B)

DAY 3: ALBURY-METUNG (223 miles/4 hrs)
